UTC contingent visits Oak Ridge National Laboratory

On Friday, Feb. 23, a University of Tennessee at Chattanooga group—consisting of faculty, staff and student Jannat Saeed—visited the UT-Oak Ridge Innovation Institute at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

The purpose of the trip was to increase awareness of ORNL’s facilities, equipment and resources to enhance collaboration between UTC faculty and researchers at ORNL.

The UTC contingent met with ORNL researchers and UT-ORII leadership, including Interim Executive Director David Sholl, to explore potential avenues of collaboration in areas such as modeling, computational science, and biomedical and health data sciences.

The group also toured the Department of Energy’s Spallation Neutron Source, Manufacturing Demonstration Facility and other ORNL facilities.
