The annual Tennessee Remembrance Walk took place Wednesday, Sept. 11, on Chamberlain Field.
From 6 a.m.-5 p.m., members of the UTC and Chattanooga community carried the American flag or a flag of any branch of the U.S. military continuously around the field to honor those killed and the heroism of first responders on 9/11 in 2001.
Participants could carry the flag for one lap or as many laps as they wanted. They could walk or run and do so individually or as a group.
At UTC, the statewide event was started by the Department of Military Science.

This was a beautiful way for our campus to show support and remember. I hope this will continue in the years to come.
