The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga will honor 108 individuals whose lives impacted the University during the annual Blue and Gold Memorial service, taking place at 6 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 26, in Patten Chapel.
The memorial service is available to watch via livestream.
The annual Blue and Gold Memorial is a tradition honoring UTC alumni, faculty, staff, retirees and students who passed away during the previous calendar year. Their names are recited in a ceremony signifying that they will always be members of the Mocs family.
The memorial tribute, first created in 2012, symbolizes that—while they are no longer physically with us—they are permanently among us.
The Patten Hall memorial service recognizing the 108 honorees who passed away in 2023 will include an invocation by Jason Leonard from UTC Campus Ministries and musical performances by pianist Helena Rosa and the UTC Singing Mocs.
The Blue and Gold Memorial will conclude with a candle lighting and a moment of silence.
