The Blue and Gold Memorial Service is a tradition on campus which honors and remembers those who passed away in 2018. This year’s memorial service also remembers University of Chattanooga soldiers lost to World War I, a timely nod to last fall’s centennial anniversary of the armistice that ended the war.
For a man whose favorite meal of the day was breakfast, it seems fitting that the tree planted on campus in honor of former interim chancellor Dr. Grady Bogue has a great view of the sunrise over Lookout Mountain. The dedication of the tree took place at this year’s Blue and Gold Memorial Service.
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga begins a new tradition with the Blue and Gold Memorial ceremony, to remember students, faculty, staff, retirees, and alumni who have died during the last year. We invite everyone to join the UTC campus community at this ceremony on Monday, April 16 at 6 p.m. in the Quadrangle, outside Patten Chapel.
