The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga will bring the fifth annual Power C Tour to four Tennessee cities this fall, giving prospective students and their families an opportunity to learn about academic programs, admissions, financial aid, housing and campus life.
The Power C Tour is UTC’s statewide outreach effort to connect directly with high school students, transfer students, graduate students and their families in their own communities. At each stop, visitors can meet with representatives from UTC academic colleges and student services, talk with current students and learn more about the opportunities and support available at the University.
Each event will run from 6-7:30 p.m. and include information booths, light refreshments, prizes and an opportunity to enter a drawing for UTC scholarships.
The Power C Tour dates and locations are:
- Nashville area: Wednesday, Sept. 30, Franklin Marriott Cool Springs, 700 Cool Springs Blvd., Franklin, Tennessee.
- Memphis: Thursday, Oct. 8, Marriott Memphis East, 5795 Poplar Ave.
- Knoxville: Wednesday, Oct. 21, Knoxville Convention Center, 701 Henley St.
- Chattanooga: Wednesday, Oct. 28, Aquatic and Recreation Center, 601 Mocs Alumni Dr.
UTC Chancellor Lori Bruce said the tour gives students and families a chance to make personal connections as they consider their next steps.
“Choosing a college is an important decision, and the Power C Tour gives us the opportunity to introduce students and families to UTC,” Bruce said. “They can learn about our academic programs, ask questions and begin to picture themselves here. We want them to see that UTC is a place where they will be valued, supported and prepared for what comes next.”
Before each tour stop, campus leaders will host a counselor-only reception from 5-5:45 p.m. High school counselors can ask questions, learn about new developments at UTC and connect with University representatives before students and families arrive.
Dr. Artanya Wesley, vice chancellor for enrollment management and student affairs at UTC, said the events are designed to make the college search more accessible and personal.
“The Power C Tour gives students the chance to see UTC through conversations with the people who teach, support and attend the University,” Wesley said. “They can learn about our academic programs, ask the questions that matter to them and get a clearer picture of the campus community that will be ready to support them from day one.”
The tour comes as UTC welcomed 11,809 students for fall 2026, the second-highest enrollment in the University’s 140-year history.
Graduate enrollment reached a record 1,749 students, a 5% increase over last year’s record.
Qualified high school seniors who attend a Power C Tour event can receive an on-the-spot admission decision through “Admitted in a Moc Minute,” with no application fee. To participate, students must submit an online application (utc.edu/apply) at least 48 hours before their event, provide an official high school transcript and bring ACT or SAT scores if they have not already been sent electronically. Students whose high school transcript includes ACT or SAT scores may use that documentation.
Students must meet stated admissions requirements of a 2.85 GPA and an 18 ACT score, or a 2.5 GPA and a 21 ACT score, to be admitted during the event.

Through its five academic colleges, Honors College and Graduate School, UTC offers 48 bachelor’s degrees with 138 program concentrations; nine undergraduate certificate programs; 31 graduate certificate programs; 24 master’s degree programs with 56 program concentrations; an education specialist program with three program concentrations; and six doctoral degrees with 13 program concentrations.
