Military molded Abeer Mustafa into successful UTC associate vice chancellor for enrollment
On Nov. 10, Dr. Abeer Mustafa will be the keynote speaker at the UTC Veterans Day Chancellors Luncheon. After graduating from high school in Houston, Texas, in 1990, she enlisted in the U.S. Army, which she served four years and attained the rank of E-4.

UTC School of Nursing celebrates $8 million gift to name new building
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga School of Nursing’s long-held dream of a new building has received the funding needed to become a reality. The Dorothy and Jim Kennedy Health Sciences Building will be the new home of the UTC School of Nursing thanks to an $8-million gift from the Kennedy Foundation, Inc.—the largest gift in School of Nursing history. The official announcement took place at an Oct. 23 on-campus event.
UTC raises more than $1.7 million for Fourth Annual Day of Giving
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga raised $1,734,947.42 from 2,131 donors during its fourth annual Mocs Give Day on Oct. 3. The day’s original fundraising goals to raise $1,000,000 from 1,500 donors were exceeded by nearly 73% and 42%, respectively.
