UTC School of Nursing celebrates $8 million gift to name new building
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga School of Nursing’s long-held dream of a new building has received the funding needed to become a reality. The Dorothy and Jim Kennedy Health Sciences Building will be the new home of the UTC School of Nursing thanks to an $8-million gift from the Kennedy Foundation, Inc.—the largest gift in School of Nursing history. The official announcement took place at an Oct. 23 on-campus event.
UTC raises more than $1.7 million for Fourth Annual Day of Giving
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga raised $1,734,947.42 from 2,131 donors during its fourth annual Mocs Give Day on Oct. 3. The day’s original fundraising goals to raise $1,000,000 from 1,500 donors were exceeded by nearly 73% and 42%, respectively.

Erica Tomas, who graduated from UTC in 2022 with a degree in interior architecture, now works for Oh Planning + Design, Architecture in Portland, Oregon. In her job, she deals with interior design and architecture elements, which are much more connected than many people think.
