Dr. James C. Newman III, Mechanical Engineering Professor, Computational Science Graduate Coordinator, and Assistant Director for the SimCenter, has been honored as one of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Class of 2017 Associate Fellows.

Chemical Engineering Club designs Chem-E Car for AIChE competition
Each year, a student team from the Chemical Engineering Department at UTC designs and fabricates a car that can be powered and stopped by chemical reactions. Disassembled, the car must fit into a shoe box.
