WUTC celebrates record-breaking spring membership drive

WUTC, FM 88.1, just completed a membership drive and set a record for its spring fundraising with $152,288 pledged.   These new dollars will be used for maintaining the public radio station’s operation.  WUTC is licensed to The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

First ROTC commissioned officer graduates

Given the military conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, some people might be surprised to find college graduates choosing military careers.  Scott Finks’ decision to join the U.S. Army became a historical moment in the University’s history when he became the first ROTC commissioned officer to graduate from the Mocs Battalion.

Campus presentation: ethical issues in practice of psychology

Meyer, UC Foundation Professor and Head of the Department of Chemistry, for her outstanding support during one of her faculty members’ deployment to Iraq. Racing Mocs ranked 16 of 100 teams at international Baja event

UTC’s Racing Mocs beat Georgia Tech, UT Knoxville and the University of Alabama by placing 16th of 100 teams at the 2009 Baja Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Alabama at Auburn University April 16-19.  This year’s entry was an entirely new vehicle built and designed “from the ground up” according to Ben Klingler, Project Manager.
