UTC School of Nursing celebrates $8 million gift to name new building
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga School of Nursing’s long-held dream of a new building has received the funding needed to become a reality. The Dorothy and Jim Kennedy Health Sciences Building will be the new home of the UTC School of Nursing thanks to an $8-million gift from the Kennedy Foundation, Inc.—the largest gift in School of Nursing history. The official announcement took place at an Oct. 23 on-campus event.

UTC launches accelerated nursing degree program
An accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program will begin at UTC in the fall 2023 semester. The accelerated BSN program is intended for those who already have bachelor’s degrees in any field and are seeking to transition to nursing careers.
UTC’s Kristi Wick receives Community Hero Award
Dr. Kristi Wick, the Vicky B. Gregg Chair of Gerontology and UC Foundation assistant professor in the UTC School of Nursing, was presented the Community Hero Award by the Southeast Tennessee Area Agency on Aging and Disability.
