Dr. Bryan Johnson, a former corporate executive and successful K-12 leader, has been appointed executive vice chancellor and chief strategy officer at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He will begin his new role on July 24.

A ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, April 27, officially launched University High, a new two-year program designed to help Hamilton County High School students get a head start on a college degree. University High will be headquartered on the UTC campus.

A college pipeline for high school students who might not have considered a four-year university education is the goal of a new partnership between Hamilton County Schools and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
