House Calls is an Enrollment Management and Student Affairs initiative created to help ease the transition for students experiencing challenges or having questions about life on campus. On Tuesday, Sept. 10, volunteers from the UTC campus will knock on dorm doors and connect with the first-year students to say “Hi” and engage in conversation.
Promoting success: Middle School to Mocs Scholars program paves college path for Hamilton County students
For the second straight year, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga staff and faculty hit the road to spread the UTC name at numerous Hamilton County Schools eighth-grade promotion ceremonies. Over several days in May, two dozen UTC representatives participated in Middle School to Mocs Scholars events, presenting to more than 3,000 Hamilton County School students.

Moc Up: Nothing but the truth for incoming freshmen
UTC’s new freshmen transition program, Moc Up, kicked off with cookouts, scavenger hunts and living in the dorms for about 140 incoming freshmen. Success at UTC was the ultimate goal of the program as students learned about managing their finances, locating campus resources and creating good study habits.
