In the past school year, nearly 1,500 students from Hamilton County Schools or rural areas of nearby counties have participated in CK Now! For many, it was the first time that they’d set foot on a college campus.
Alumna chosen for graduate fellowship
UTC Alumna Jillian Pennyman ’13 has been chosen for the Betty Jane Narver Policy Fellowship for 2013 – 2014. Pennyman received both a B.S. and M.Ed. in Secondary Education from UTC. She is pursuing the Master’s in Education Policy.
PAWS provides elementary students with the knowledge of college
In the last six years more than more than 500 student mentors from UTC have volunteered to help fourth and fifth graders at Brown Academy get excited about going to college. Postsecondary Awareness With Success (PAWS) is making a difference.
