More than 80 people—students, faculty, staff and visitors––turned out to celebrate the launch of a student-led podcast from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga’s Artificial Intelligence Initiative. Also known as “Chattanooga’s Artificial Intelligence,” the CH-AI team hosted the Thursday, Aug. 29, launch party for “CH-AI Brews: Infusing Conversations About AI” in the Guerry Center on campus.
UTC’s ‘CHAI’ artificial intelligence launches ‘CH-AI Brews’
Both the campus and Chattanooga community are invited to a launch and listening party for “CH-AI Brews,” the student-led podcast for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Artificial Intelligence Initiative. The initiative is also known as “Chattanooga’s AI,” from which the podcast derives its name. The listening party takes place 5-6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29, in the Guerry Center Reading Room on campus.

Goldberg appointed Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration
University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Chancellor Steven R. Angle has appointed Brent Goldberg as the University’s next vice chancellor for finance and administration. Goldberg is an experienced chief financial officer with two degrees from UTC. He currently serves as the CFO for the City of Chattanooga and will assume his new duties at UTC on Dec. 1, 2022.
High speed progress: UTC hails EPB’s 25 gig internet upgrade
In August, EPB announced it is taking its fiber-optic network from the 10-gig capacity it established in 2015 up to 25 gigs. The goal is expansion across the EPB coverage area with good results all over the city, and what’s good for Chattanooga is expected to be very good for UTC and its urban-environment campus.
