State commissioner visits UTC to advocate for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities
Tennessee Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Commissioner Brad Turner visited the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga on Tuesday, Jan. 31, to discuss expanding opportunities for students with disabilities and to bring awareness to career paths in early intervention, child and family studies and social work.
Magical medicine: UTC professor explores palm and face reading as diagnostic tools in Middle Ages
Palm and face reading were tools used by physicians in the Middle Ages, “a way for physicians to understand on the outside of the body what is happening on the inside of the body,” said Dr. Kira Robison, associate professor of history at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
StoryCorps One Small Step takes one giant step
During the spring 2023 semester, students in Will Davis’ Honors College seminar will be involved in every aspect of editing, packaging, promoting and sharing a multi-episode serial podcast based on the Chattanooga “One Small Step” conversations.

Every February, the achievements and history of African Americans are recognized and commemorated as part of Black History Month.
UTC’s celebration will begin with a kickoff celebration on Feb. 1.
A first for UTC: Lola Oke awarded Rangel Fellowship for graduate degree and U.S. Foreign Service career
Lola Oke, a political science major and Brock Scholar in the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Honors College, is the first UTC student to be awarded a Charles B. Rangel Graduate Fellowship.
UTC Symphony Orchestra to perform concerto concert on Feb. 12
