Davan Maharaj ’89 has been named recipient of the 2016 UTC Distinguished Alumnus Award, and Scott LeRoy ’79 has been named the Outstanding Service Award winner. Maharaj and LeRoy were honored May 6 when the UTC Alumni Board hosted its annual “Legends and Leaders” ceremony.

There was a point in time in which the last thing Scott LeRoy thought he would be doing was receiving an Outstanding Service Award from UTC. That point was seconds before finding out he was the school’s latest honoree.

Research Dialogues, the event formerly known as Research Day, took place on April 13 – 14, 2016. This year’s event included the traditional poster presentations as a part of the Undergraduate and Graduate and Faculty Research Symposiums, as well as some new events.

The UTC School of Nursing, in partnership with Hospice of Chattanooga, will host “Conversations on the End of Life” on Thursday, April 28, 7–9 pm in the UC Auditorium. Admission is free and open to the public.
Alumnus Honored by American Academy of Emergency Medicine
UTC and Brock Scholars Alumnus Andy Walker received the 2016 James Keaney Award from the American Academy of Emergency Medicine at the 22nd Annual AAEM Scientific Assembly in February.

Alpha Delta Pi to support the Ronald McDonald House with 5k run
The Alpha Delta Pi Sorority is hosting their annual Run for Ronald 5k marathon and Fun Run on April 9th, 2016, to support Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Chattanooga, Inc.
