UTC Vice Chancellor for Access and Engagement Stacy Lightfoot was among the prominent leaders in the arts, business, education, entertainment, government, corporate America and community honored at the Eighth Annual Diamond Awards, held on Saturday, Jan. 27 at the Morehouse College Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel in Atlanta. Lightfoot was recognized in the category of Education: Excellence in Leadership, Philanthropy, Humanitarian and Community Engagement.
Goldberg appointed Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration
University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Chancellor Steven R. Angle has appointed Brent Goldberg as the University’s next vice chancellor for finance and administration. Goldberg is an experienced chief financial officer with two degrees from UTC. He currently serves as the CFO for the City of Chattanooga and will assume his new duties at UTC on Dec. 1, 2022.

Challenger Center expands its free programs for middle-schoolers
Every middle-schooler in Hamilton County can take free lessons at the Challenger STEM Learning Center in the upcoming school year. A new agreement allocates missions and classroom labs for sixth, seventh- and eighth-graders in the school system’s 21 middle schools.
