Difference maker: Dylan Rivera’s path to public service brought him through UTC
Dylan Rivera, a 2020 graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, is the director of policy planning and implementation for the city of Chattanooga. His work directly influences Chattanooga’s minority neighborhoods by bridging the disparities in generational health, safety and prosperity.
UTC students shown the personal reality of homelessness only a few blocks away from campus
Sixteen University of Tennessee at Chattanooga criminal justice students stepped out into the community during the spring semester for their Community Engagement class to help Chattanooga’s homeless population and work alongside local service providers. Professor of Criminal Justice Tammy Garland organized the course to get her students engaged in the community and apply the skills they learned in the classroom.
Class of 2022: UTC to host commencement ceremonies Friday and Saturday
The 259th overall commencement for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, which was founded in 1886 as the then-private Chattanooga University, takes place May 6 and May 7.
