For the second consecutive year, a group of UTC Engineering students achieved national recognition for their performance at the 2013 American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Chem-E Car Competition held in San Francisco on November 3rd.
Student team headed to national chemical car competition
For the second year in a row, the UTC student Chem-E Car team will compete on the national level. The team will travel to San Francisco, California for the competition sponsored by the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE).
Chemical engineering student finishes first in research competition
Eric Snider, senior chemical engineering student, placed first overall at the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Southern Regional Conference in the research paper competition. As a result, he will be one of nine students nationwide to compete in the AIChE national competition in October in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

UTC student Eric Snider, an undergraduate chemical engineering major, won a second place research award at the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Annual Meeting in Minneapolis, Minneapolis.
Chemical engineering student earns international recognition
Jennifer Lewis, a graduate of East Ridge High School and a senior chemical engineering Departmental Honors student at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, recently received an award in an international undergraduate student research poster competition held in Nashville at the American Institute of Chemical Engineers 2009 Annual Conference.
