The UTC Financial Wellness Center has entered into a new partnership with the Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union (TVFCU). The mission of the UTC Financial Wellness Center is to equip students with knowledge, tools and techniques that will increase their overall financial literacy, capability, satisfaction and wellness. TVFCU’s is partnering to support these efforts and help prepare students to be good stewards of their finances.
Accessible technology promoted on campus
The Accessible Technology Committee held a technology fair to show how easy it is to adopt and use accessible documents and webpages, accessible textbooks and instructional materials, video captioning, screen readers, accessibility in information systems, accessibility and the UTC Library, accessibility and online instruction and more.

Benefit production of The Vagina Monologues February 19-21
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga will present a benefit production of The Vagina Monologues. Performances will be held Thursday, February 19, and Friday, February 20. Both performances will begin at 7 p.m. A matinee will be performed on Saturday, February 21, 2 p.m. All performances will be held in the UTC University Center Auditorium.
Dr. Richard Brown named to THEC Formula Review Committee

Krystal presents UTC College of Business with artifact collection
Krystal is a fast food icon founded in Chattanooga during the Great Depression that now spans the Southeast. On January 28, the Krystal Company presented the College of Business with a collection of artifacts from Krystal’s history to inform and inspire UTC students. Krystal also endowed two scholarships for UTC business students.

Retired UTC biology professor provides testimony in Chattanooga murder trial
Testimony provided by retired UTC biology professor Dr. Gene Van Horn assisted in the murder conviction of Adolphus Hollingsworth for the death of his wife, Victoria, in 1997. The case was tried before Criminal Court Judge Rebecca Stern.
Be a part of Elect Her—Campus Women Win
Elect Her–Campus Women Win is the only program in the country that encourages and trains college women to run for student government and future political office. Elect Her is a collaboration between the American Association of University Women (AAUW) and Running Start. It addresses the need to encourage women to run for office and to diminish the longstanding political leadership gender gap.
