Largest federal DOT grant in UTC history to make downtown Chattanooga an electric vehicle testbed
The winning Chattanooga proposal is for a networked system that will enable electric vehicle drivers to more readily locate charging stations. Charging opportunities will be customized for drivers as a result of the system recognizing the charge level of individual electric vehicles, volume and pace of traffic and electric grid power demand to recommend charging stations and types by locations.

The Upward Bound Math Science Promoting Resolve in Science and Math (PRISM) program offered various academic activities and workshops on social and emotional learning, foreign language, math and science for students from Chattanooga’s Brainerd High School and The Howard School.
Open house to bring together advocates for aging adults with religious leaders seeking to assist those adults
The come-and-go open house will feature presentations, information booths from support organizations and light refreshments. It takes place 2-6 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, Aug. 16, at the Camp House, 806 E. 12th St. Brief formal presentations will be held at 3:30 and 5:30 p.m.
