To many, vaping is considered a safe way to “smoke,” providing the nicotine without the health issues of tobacco. But health officials say vaping has its own set of medical issues, so will be banned when the UTC campus goes smoke-free on Jan. 1, 2019.
IBEW donates $50,000 to Department of Political Science & Public Service
For the next five years, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local #175 will donate $10,000 a year to the Department of Political Science and Public Service, which will use the money to schedule workshops on such topics as targeting voters, policy advocacy and lobbying, organizing communities and campaign management.
